So, Rhia update--she is almost two months old! She's smiling a ton now, and she really likes her rattle--we play with it on a pretty regular basis. Yesterday her and I went to Babies-r-us and got some new toys (that she "picked out" by getting excited when I showed them to her). She also loves to stick her tongue out, which I think I may have taught her, because I kept sticking my tongue out at her. Now she'll stick hers out at me and wait for me to do it back--then she smiles and gets all excited. She doesn't nap very well (like, at all), so we've had a few evening meltdowns. If I make her nap during the day we avoid the meltdown, but getting her to nap during the day is rough--she doesn't want to miss a thing and fights sleep. It's getting better, though, now that we've figured out why she was freaking out in the evenings. However, on the plus side, even when she naps during the day, she's been sleeping between 6-8 hours at night in a stretch. Usually she goes to bed around 8, i feed her at 10 or so when I go to bed, and then she sleeps until 4:00 or 5:00. I can usually sneak in another hour or two of sleep after that if I come out to the couch and sleep with her. I may regret that when she's older and wants to sleep with us, but those extra hours are nice. She's gaining weight and getting big--the last time I weighed her on the scale with me she was about 12 lbs. She has a doctor's appointment on Thursday for her shots and a check-up, so we'll have her "official" size then.
Al's mom came out this last week to visit, which was great. We went and checked out UW, and she even hung out with Rhia on Wednesday night so Al and I could go on a date! We went out for dinner and went to the new Batman movie, which was pretty good. We didn't get to go out on our anniversary (we did go to the woodland park zoo--pictures to follow), but it was nice to get out for a few hours. I don't have any of the pictures from Kim's visit, but I do have some from the zoo, so I'll put those up.

I don't know why this one switched to sideways, but it's after a bath--check out the horns. :-)
