So, like I said, we've been busy. I started working shortly after our last update, and I don't think any of us have sat still since. We had a wonderful break; I made immense amounts of candy for the first time since college, Al's parents/sister came out for Christmas, and then on the 26th Rhia and I flew to Montana for a few days to visit everyone there. She's incredibly spoiled, as pictures will illustrate. So now we're trudging through the post-holiday winter season, enjoying Seattle's temperate climate (well, I am, after being in Montana, it's downright warm here in comparison).
Rhia loved seeing all of the family over the holidays--she's always excited about her aunt and uncle, and makes sure to point them out for us when she sees pictures now. Uncle JJ was even nice enough to get her a Saints jersey, so now at least someone in the house has a jersey from a winning team. She also fell in love with her Bubbi's little dog, and spent days looking for Nellie after they had left. She also had the chance to hang out with her cousin Ashley while we were in Montana, which was painfully cute. It's fun to watch them run around now that they're getting to be big girls. It's hard to believe that they're getting so big.
Rhia is doing really well. She's adjusted pretty well to daycare, and I guess when Al put her in the car yesterday she started saying her teacher's name, so I guess that's a good indicator of adjustment. She doesn't scream and cling to me when I walk in the door now (well, not quite as much), and she's learning all sorts of fun ways to play with and not eat her food. She also loves to play "night night," which sounds great, until you realize that she wants you to pretend to sleep so that she can scream in your ear. I'll blame that one on daycare, too.
Her vocabulary has just exploded lately, and she's getting better with her enunciation, so we can understand a bit more of what she's telling us. She's also getting taller, finally outgrowing her 12 month pants now, at 19 months. She got a toy kitchen from Santa for Christmas, and it's her new favorite toy. She cooks for us constantly. The other favorite is a broom--quite the domestic goddess.
So, some pictures for our masses of followers who aren't on facebook (again, not in order. too tired/lazy to fix, but they're all from Christmas-timeish). :)

Santa brought us Beatles Rock Band for Christmas. Rhia is going to give Ringo a run for his money. She likes to sing, too.
The only picture of all three of us from Christmas.
Sweep, sweep.
Finding her kitchen on Christmas morning.
Riding around on a little car thing. It plays music, and she loves it. Thanks, Grandma.
