Time flies when you're sleep deprived! I cannot believe that Rhia is 2 weeks old already--she has changed so much, even since she was born. It's just astounding how much she's grown. We had a doctor's appointment on Tuesday to check her weight, and she was up to 7lbs14oz, which was 10oz more than the week before--so she's gained her birthweight back and then some, so I'm guessing that by now she's over 8 pounds. She's doing really well, eating a lot, and still a really good baby. She'll usually wake me up about 3 times a night to eat, and then goes right back to sleep. She fusses when she's hungry, or when she wants someone to hold her (but usually she's content just hanging out), but it's nothing like the horror stories that people had for me about screaming babies all night long. I'm still sleeping better than I was when I was pregnant, so I can't complain. She's also much more aware--she's started to watch the little hangy toys on her swing, and she likes to make faces at us--it's all very cute. No conscious smiles yet, but sometimes she looks like she might be trying.
I never thought it would be possible to want to protect something(someone) so much, or to love something so much. Al and I went to the store today and left Rhia home with Rebecca (she's up visiting), and the entire time I was a nervous wreck--and she was only half a mile away. I know that will get easier, but still. It was the first time she was home without either of us here, so that was weird.
And some pictures, because that's what people really want....:-)
