busy, busy, busy

So it's been awhile since I last posted--it's been a really busy month! At the beginning of March Rhia and I flew to Montana to visit my family. It was so so so wonderful to see everyone, and we had a great time! Rhia got to hang out with her cousin Ashley a bunch, and helped her Grandma out at the office. Then Rebecca came to visit, so Rhia spent some quality time with her Auntie. Last week we were in Victoria for Amanda and Richard's wedding (congratulations you two!!). We just got home last night. We get to unwind a bit for the next week and a half or so, and then Rhia and I are flying to Florida to visit Al's Grandpa Frank. Hopefully she can handle the 8-hour trip there. :-\

Rhia has just taken off. She's crawling everywhere (fast!), cruising/walking with help everywhere, and getting into everything. She can walk around now holding onto just one of our hands with one of hers, although she prefers to have both index fingers in her grip. Everyone thinks she'll be walking before her birthday. She's chatting up a storm, and saying some words, and attempting to say others. She's got "dada" down pat, and I swear yesterday she was saying "beep" for the car horn on the ferry (she "drives" the car when we're on the ferry). She's also waving, clapping, signing "more," and just generally seems much more aware of what's going on. She's gotten a bit sassy and throws a few tantrums here and there, but she is our daughter, so I guess we deserve it.

She's 10 months old tomorrow. I cannot believe my baby will be one in a couple of months. Didn't I just find out that I was pregnant? Didn't we just see her for the first time? Wasn't she just a tiny baby? Now she's such a big girl--and such a little person. It's so cool to see her learning more about the world and growing up.
